Type-Moon’s Mahou Tsukai No Yoru Planned For Release In April 2012

Right, here we go again. The latest issue of Type-Moon Ace magazine in Japan mentions a release date for the next big Type-Moon title: Mahou Tsukai no Yoru (Witch on the Holy Night), originally planned for release in 2009.

Following several delays, volume 7 of Type-Moon Ace says the game is now slated for release on April 12th, 2012.

Mahou Tsukai no Yoru is a visual novel based on a novel penned (but never publicly released) by Type-Moon co-founder, Kinoko Nasu, in 1996. The game stars Aoko Aozaki, who fans of Tsukihime might remember as the lady who gives Shiki his special glasses.

Last we heard, Mahou Tsukai no Yoru wouldn’t feature any voicework and will be an all-ages game, as opposed to an 18+ title. There won’t be any branching storylines in the game either, as Nasu hopes to present a single strong story.

A big, big thanks to Vio for the fantastic tip!
