When it comes to these Nintendo Switch Online special versions, Nintendo can do things like offer certain save states, add specific items to inventories, or present people with certain scenarios. The Fire Emblem Nintendo Switch Online special variants both involve players picking up at specific points in-game.

If someone goes with Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light Special, they can see the original Pegasus Sisters Palla, Catria, and Est perform a Triangle Attack. To normally perform this in-game, someone must have Palla, Catria, and Est alive, on the map, and each on one of the four different sides of an opponent. You then can use the special attack to have all three sisters hit a foe.

When the Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light Special 2 version is selected, people find themselves starting at the twenty-fifth chapter of the game. This is the final fight against the Shadow Dragon Medeus. You have a full roster with characters ready to go and well-equipped for the fight.
