During the Capcom 2020 Tokyo Game Show broadcast, the developers mentioned that Turbo Mode was in high request. Because of this, they decided to include it in Special Edition. Footage of Turbo Mode was displayed in a side by side comparison to the original speed of Devil May Cry 5.

You can watch footage of these modes from the Capcom TGS 2020 broadcast below.

Legendary Dark Knight Mode was also given an opportunity to shine during the broadcast. The developers also mentioned that Legendary Dark Knight Mode was only possible for Special Edition due to the power of next generation consoles. Hoards of enemies will appear on screen, allowing players to gather copious amounts of red orbs. Players will be able to look forward to both Legendary Dark Knight Mode and Turbo Mode with the upcoming release of Devil May Cry V Special Edition.

Lastly, the developers mentioned that they will bring the Vergil DLC to current generation consoles. They will provide updates about this in the future. It was also mentioned on stream that they will provide information on Vergil’s weapons in Special Edition at a later date.

Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition will be a launch title for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Devil May Cry 5 is immediately available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
