Japanese voice actor Toshihiko Seki has been discharged from hospital today after testing negative for COVID-19 twice consecutively. [Thanks, Oricon!]
Previously, Seki showed fever symptoms on July 31, 2020, then he tested positive for the novel coronavirus on August 3, 2020. He was hospitalized from the day after. Seki could not recall where he may have caught the virus.
After leaving the hospital, Seki made a comment thanking everyone who supported him:
Thanks to everyone, my physical condition has completely recovered, and today I am able to safely leave the hospital. I am once again truly sorry to the concerned officials who worked very hard for my sake while I was being hospitalized. At the same time, I also gratefully received warm feelings and words from everyone.
I can only salute all the medical personnel who are devotedly dealing with the situation every day, despite the sudden increase in infections recently. I would like to use this occasion to offer my heartfelt gratitude,” Seki added in his comment. He concluded “No matter how much you’re being careful, there is nothing that’s absolutely perfect. I would like to once again make an effort without negligence from the encouragement of hand-washing, which I have always been practicing as a daily routine until now.
