Top-down shooter Juicy Realm will have players fighting to regain humanity’s spot at the top of the food chain, shooting hostile, but strikingly animated, plants that mean to do them in.
Juicy Realm will have players acting as an explorer in the plants’ empire. This place is randomly generated, offering different zones, treasures, and enemies on each run, and tasks players with collecting various guns and tools while fighting back against the various sentient fruits and veggies that attack them. Should players do well against the plant monsters, they may also find extra items that will let them upgrade their base camp, unlocking new abilities.
Juicy Realm features a bouncy, vibrant art style that makes the plant menace seem a lot sillier than it can be in combat. Despite the striking style, the game aims to offer a great deal of challenge and many difficult shot arrays to avoid while blasting plants. They don’t have to do this alone, though, as the game features local multiplayer.
Juicy Realm is set to release in 2018, according to its Steam page.
