I hadn’t heard of Butterfly before I saw it on Tokyopop’s March release list and decided to look the series up, but once I did, I have to admit the quirky premise really stood out to me.
Butterfly is about Ginji Ishikawa, a young man with a distaste for the supernatural…or rather, an utter hatred of anything connected with the supernatural. Haunted by his brother’s suicude, Genji’s broken up with girlfriends for believing in things like fortune-telling or lucky charms.
One day, however, Genji meets a child who tells him that she’ll use him to exterminate every ghost in existence.
In addition to Butterfly, Tokyopop are also licensing a series by the name of Clean-Freak: Fully Equipped, also for a March release, alongside a boylove title, Crimson Snow.
