The official website of Tokyo Game Show 2022 shared new information about this year’s show. The event will be held at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. While the event will have a physical location, information will still be distributed online. The first two days of the event will be business days. This means that game developers and other individuals within the industry will be able to enter the physical event at Makuhari Messe. The general public can attend the final two days. The official website reveals that it will be a “hybrid event.” This means that consumers will still have the opportunity to view major announcements online. As part of the announcement of the event, Tokyo Game Show will still continue to host presentations from its official YouTube channel. However, this will include booths as well as general presentations. TGS said that this will create a more immersive experience for the online viewer.
Additionally, Steam will host a special page for TGS 2022. Consumers will be able to download demos from TGS 2022 through the dedicated Steam page. TGS will also host a VR event. The show will announce more information regarding the specifics of the event in the future.
Tokyo Game Show 2022 will take place from September 15 to September 18, 2022.
