Tokyo Chronos successfully reached its Kickstarter goal of $75,000 on August 17, with several days to spare. The Kickstarter campaign ends on August 21, 2018.

The game is headed by developer MyDearest, and is led by Kazuma Miki, producer of Sword Art Online and A Certain Magical Index, previously Dengeki Bunko editor-in-chief. Here’s a synopsis for the game:

When, and why, have we become separated?
A group of eight childhood friends —
The time has come for the truth to be revealed.
Trapped in an empty, deserted Shibuya where time has frozen over.
A strange world where the eight disappear one by one.
— I am dead. Who killed me?

Sekai Project and MyDearest shared a thank-you message for the campaign on their Kickstarter page, saying that they are very happy to see that Western fans are just as excited at the possibilities of VR as a story-telling medium as Japanese fans and will do their utmost to give you a rich and compelling story.

Tokyo Chronos is expected to launch in February 2019 for PlayStation VR as well as Oculus and HTC Vive via Steam. It’ll support Japanese, English, and Chinese language options.
