TMNT The Cowabunga Collection Includes 13 Games

During the March 2022 State of Play, Konami, Digital Eclipse, and Nickelodeon announced TMNT The Cowabunga Collection for the PS4 and PS5. This will be a collection of 13 different TMNT games that appeared on consoles and in arcades.

Here is the list of confirmed TMNT The Cowabunga Collection games so far. There will also be 11 Japanese versions of them included in the compilation.

  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time (Super Nintendo)
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (Super Nintendo)
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist (Sega Genesis)
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (Sega Genesis)
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fall of The Foot Clan (Game Boy)
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Back From The Sewers (Game Boy)
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: Radical Rescue (Game Boy)

The collection will feature some special features. For example, you will be able to rewind and make save states. People could remap the buttons to customize the controls. There will be a museum element that goes over the history of the TMNT games. Also, some of the titles included can be played online with other people.

This is one of two TMNT games being released in 2022. Dotemu is also preparing TMNT Shredder’s Revenge. That title is an homage to the beat’em ups from the past. In addition to the turtles themselves, characters like April and Splinter will be playable in it.

TMNT The Cowabunga Collection will come to the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2022.
