How to make a profit in House Flipper 2

The main loop of House Flipper 2 is buying houses and then using all of your available resources to improve the property and make some money by selling it. The premise is simple, but you can go over budget and cut straight into your profits if you’re not careful.

Let’s look at some tips for maximizing profit in House Flipper 2.

Do jobs until you unlock all available tools

When you first gain the ability to start buying homes to flip, not all of your tools are unlocked. The major ones are, for example, you cannot build walls until you complete a future job. This matters because that also means you can’t fix issues with the floor.

My first flip had damage to the sidewalk that I was unable to fix, which cut into my final selling price. Ideally, you would want to fix every problem possible to get the highest payout. So, you definitely want to have all your tools available to you, so there’s nothing you can’t fix in your newest flip.

Offset your costs by selling what’s usable

When you start cleaning up your newly purchased home, be sure to sell everything possible. Even completely destroyed items remaining in the house can add up substantially. On my first flip, I spent about $20,000 on renovations and furniture. However, I got about $11,000 from selling items beforehand.

That means selling items covered over half of my budget. This is certainly crucial to squeezing the most out of your budget. Every penny counts when it’s time to make the sale.

Use perks to boost profit in House Flipper 2

One of the final tips for maximizing profit in House Flipper 2 is utilizing your perks. You can unlock perks in different categories depending on use. So, you gain skill points by selling houses that you can then use to make more money.

The available perks allow you to compare multiple buyers and raise overall offers. These are incredibly useful! Selling a few houses should let you get most of these perks. So, even if you’re getting low profit initially, it’s still working towards something.

House Flipper 2 is available now on PC. A PS5 and Xbox Series X/S release is planned for March 2024.
