What is the best Rogue build for Diablo IV Season 1?

Pre-season 1, Rogue’s Twisting Blades daggers were the best build for the class in Diablo 4. This hasn’t changed. The best build for Rogue in Season of the Malignant still revolves around this Core Skill. There are some differences, though.

The build relies on traps to snare enemies so you can go wild with damage while they’re compromised with status effects such as Poison.

Which Rogue Skills should I pick in Diablo IV Season 1?

For Rogue, I recommend you spend your Skill Points on these Skills:

  • Twisted Blades
  • Enhanced Twisted Blades
  • Improved Twisted Blades
  • Puncture
  • Enhanced Puncture
  • Fundamental Puncture
  • Shadow Step
  • Enhanced Shadow Step
  • Methodical Shadow Step
  • Dash
  • Enhanced Dash
  • Dark Shroud
  • Enhanced Dark Shroud
  • Subverting Dark Shroud
  • Poison Trap
  • Enhanced Poison Trap
  • Death Trap

You should accompany your Skills with the following buffs and passives:

  • Concussive
  • Trick Attacks
  • Rapid Gambits
  • Weapon Mastery
  • Sturdy
  • Siphoning Strikes
  • Deadly Venom
  • Debilitating Toxins
  • Alchemical Advantage
  • Frigid Finesse
  • Exposure
  • Innervation
  • Trap Mastery

Which Aspects should I use in my build?

Skills and passives are just one part of a great build in Diablo IV. You also need Aspects to take your Rogue further. I recommend grinding for these:

  • Aspect of the Expectant: Using your Basic Skill increases Core Skill damage.
  • Ravager’s Aspect: Gives Shadow Step an extra charge and kills with the Skill refunds a charge and increases damage.
  • Edgemaster’s Aspect: Skills deal increased damage based on your Primary Resource when cast. You’ll receive the maximum benefit when Primary Resource is full.
  • Vengeful Aspect: Lucky Hit – making an enemy Vulnerable has a chance to grant a temporary increased Critical Strike Chance.

Diablo IV is available now on the PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Season of the Malignant started on June 20, 2023, and runs until October 17, 2023.
