This Week in Sales: Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Ring Fit Adventure

Famitsu released the latest video game software and hardware sales figures from the week of January 20-26, 2020, with Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Ring Fit Adventure leading the way.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon charted #1 in sales for the second week in a row since debuting on top. It sold 39,719 units on PS4 in its follow-up week. Meanwhile, Ring Fit Adventure made an impressive jump to leap over Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot and Pokemon Sword & Shield to chart at #2 with 39,217 units sold for Switch. The Switch fitness game was about 500 units shy of taking the crown from Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Pokemon Sword & Shield charted #3 for a second week straight with 37,950 units, so it wasn’t too far from the top. It should be interesting to see which one will be #1 next week.

In hardware sales, the Nintendo Switch sold 45,720 units plus an additional 22,267 of Switch Lite units to combine for 67,987 between the two. The PS4 sold 4,121 units plus 2,209 PS4 Pro models to combine for 6,330 units for the PlayStation 4 family of consoles.
