This Week In Sales: Pirates And More Samurai, This Time From Irem

The week of September 6th – 12th saw four new games in the top-20 chart, with One Piece: Gigant Battle leading the way at the #1 spot. Interestingly, at #10 is Sengoku Efuda Yuugi: Hototogisu Tairan, a strategy card-based battle game developed by Irem, set in Japan’s warring states period.

 

Sengoku Efuda Yuugi’s play mechanics are designed by Matsuo Goro, the Japanese champion of the Magic: The Gathering series. Irem, known best for creating the R-Type series of shoot-em-ups, are also presently working on Disaster Report 4, which is on display at ongoing Tokyo Game Show.
