The major releases this week in Japan are Nintendo Labo’s latest ‘build-it-yourself’ invention – the VR Labo kit, and Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain, the latest game in the fight against the ever-invading insects. VR Kit in particular has you experiencing a variety of minigames via different objects you hold towards your head, and Super Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild support is also on the way.

This week also sees the launch of Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster on the Switch, marking the first time the game’s seen a release on a Nintendo platform. For indie titles, we have Slime Tactics, a followup to Ambition of the Slimes that is a real time strategy game rather than a turn-based strategy game.

As a reminder, Siliconera gets a small portion pocket change from your purchases from our Play-Asia links below. You can also save $3 by using the code “SILICON” by using the coupon button at the payment method selection screen.
