The first actual week of releases in Japan starts off with some strong contenders, with Bandai Namco’s Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition. This upgraded title improves the base resolution to 1080p (except the Switch version in Handheld mode), and includes everything that was added for the PlayStation 3 release, such as Flynn Scifo as a party member.

Nintendo’s also bringing out an enhanced port this week, with New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, the last well-designed 2D Mario title to come out before the craze that was Super Mario Maker. This latest run through the Mushroom Kingdom adds Nabbit and Toadette to the playable character roster, and even adds a new Super Crown item that turns Toadette (and only Toadette sadly) into Peachette.

As a reminder, Siliconera gets a small portion pocket change from your purchases from our Play-Asia links below. You can also save $3 by using the code “SILICON” by using the coupon button at the payment method selection screen.
