This week marks the release of Langrisser I & II, a remake of the first two games with new art by Ryo Nagi that marks the first console game in the longstanding SRPG series since 2015’s panned Langrisser Re:Incarnation Tensei, which Jenni can certainly attest to:

 

 

The remake adds new routes to the original game, which didn’t have them as that idea was implemented only from the second game onwards. Alongside the new route is the brand-new heroine Betty.

 

One smaller release to highlight this week is Acquire’s Scrap Rush!!, a Bomberman-like game where you collect scrap in order to eliminate your opponents. For a prominent non-Japanese release, Cuphead releases on Switch this week as well.
