“Our hearts go out to all those who have been impacted by the devastating wildfires in Hawai’i. Our priority is to aid children, families, and their affected communities. To support relief efforts, The Pokémon Company International is making an immediate monetary donation of $200,000 to its partners at GlobalGiving through their Hawaii Wildfire Relief Fund.”

Wildfires devastated the state of Hawaii, predominately on the islands of Maui and Hawai’i, since the start of August. It is reported that at least 98 people are reported dead and over 1,000 missing. The Maui wildfires are said to be the fifth-deadliest wildfires on record in the United States. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is currently aiding in the recovery of Hawaii in the wake of the deadly wildfires that have left thousands of citizens homeless and displaced.

The Pokemon Company International is a subsidiary of The Pokemon Company in Japan and manages the property outside of Asia including licensing and marketing, the Pokemon Trading Card Game, the animated TV series, and beyond.
