The Legend of Zelda Manga Art Exhibition Announced

Akira Himekawa, the artists behind the manga adaptations of several The Legend of Zelda titles, will have an art exhibition at the Kyoto International Manga Museum. The exhibition will last from September 18 to December 26, 2021. The exhibition is titled “Akira Himekawa Original Painting Exhibition – Looking Back on Manga The Legend of Zelda.” More details regarding the exhibition will appear in the future. Himekawa posted a tweet about the exhibition, sharing an illustration featuring several different versions of Link. It included illustrations from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess adaptations. An official press release from the museum will be available in the future, to provide details regarding the event. This includes any potential artwork that will appear in The Legend of Zelda art exhibition.

However, it is subject to change due to the current situation surrounding COVID-19. This could result in a potential closure of the exhibition.

Akira Himekawa is a pseudonym for two female manga artists that have worked on the illustrated adaptations of The Legend of Zelda series. They worked on the adaptations of the series for over 20 years. Their work includes The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword.
