Nintendo used its E3 2021 Nintendo Direct to offer a new look at a game it teased two years ago. A new The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 trailer offered a better look at and new details from the upcoming game. It featured Link exploring a number of islands in the sky. It also now has a 2022 release window

This is the second time we’ve been able to see The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, as the sequel’s first trailer appeared at E3 2019. Here’s how it looked back then.
Since then, we’ve also seen a game that is a prequel. Omega Force and Koei Tecmo worked on Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, which involves the same Link and Zelda. That game is about to get some new DLC in 2021.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 is in development for the Nintendo Switch.
