Xseed Games has revealed the release date for The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel. The PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita game will be released on December 22, ahead of the holiday rush.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel is set in the same location as the The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, but takes place after SC, in the Erebonian Empire. It deals with the conflict between those who are fine with the nation’s class system, the Noble Faction, and people who wish to see more equality, the Reformist Faction. Players follow a group of students from the Thors Military Academy who are part of Class VII, a small number of students who wear red uniforms instead of the standard green or white ones that identify people by class. This group, led by a young man named Rean, will be tasked with special assignments.
The PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita standard editions of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel will be $39.99 and support cross-save functionality. A $49.99 Lionheart limited edition is also available.
