There are not a ton of weapons laying around in the world of The Last of Us, but the ones we do find matter. We’ve put together a list of all the weapon locations in The Last of Us Part II Remastered so you don’t miss out.
These weapons are crucial for surviving in the world of The Last of Us Part II Remastered. Getting all these weapons will also net you the High Caliber trophy.
We’ve attempted to present this information with limited plot spoilers, though the nature of the guide may spoil some gameplay mechanics.
Ellie’s weapon locations in Last of Us Part II Remastered
- Semi-Auto Pistol
- Starting equipment
- Bolt-Action Rifle
- Starting equipment
- Revolver
- Found in a scripted segment at the end of the Prologue
- Pump Shotgun
- In the vault in the WestLake bank during Seattle Day 1. The exact same vault as Nathan Drake’s ring.
- Bow
- I found it near the end of the Hillcrest chapter when leaving a scripted segment.
- Silenced Submachine Gun
- Ellie acquires this during a late-game cutscene.
Ellie can also find a Short Gun Holster during Seattle Day 1 inside Barko’s pet shop. First, you need to find the key in a coffee shop next to the courthouse. After finding the item, Ellie will mark Barko’s pet store on the map.
The Long Gun Holster is found in the Hillcrest chapter’s door behind a dumpster. You’ll know it’s the right one because several infected rushes out. The safe inside holds the holster. That code is found in the nearby bar, but between us, it’s 30-82-65.

- Outside the boat workshop, there will be a trailer and a locked building next to it. You can enter the locked building through a hole in the wall, where you’ll find a safe. The code is a puzzle in the trailer, but I can just tell you it here. The code is 17-38-07. The Hunting Pistol is in the safe.
- Double Barrel Shotgun
- Behind the counter in the antique store early on in Abby’s Hostile Territory chapter. In the same building, you find the strange relic.
- Crossbow
- Found at the beginning of a scripted sequence.
- Flamethrower
- In the Descent chapter. While heading down the building, towards the bottom, look out for a plank seemingly leading to a closed-off room. Inside this room, the Flamethrower will just be sitting on a corpse.
Abby’s holsters are both pretty much in plain view if you do even modest exploring. Her Short Gun Holster is sitting in the building next to the makeshift Seraphite shrine in Hostile territory. Abby’s Long Gun Holster is on a table toward the end of The Coast chapter on the first floor of the office building you pass through. Both can technically be missed, but they are not hard to spot unless you’re actively avoiding searching the area.
