Idolmaster Cinderella Girls Starlight Stage

During the the 15-hour long 15th anniversary livestream for The Idolmaster series, series general producer Youzou Sakagami revealed that The Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls Starlight Stage and The Idolmaster: Million Live! While significant details were not revealed, other than the reveal that the collaboration event will be held this winter, we do know that both games will be getting the event. More information will be announced on Twitter and other social media later on.

For those unfamiliar with Starlight Stage and Theatre Days, both are rhythm games that feature idols from the same shared universe, but canonically happen to work under different production companies. Cinderella Girls is generally its own thing, featuring its own cast of idols, while Million Live! features idols working at the same production company as the console games, 765PRO. (Theatre Days also adds some new characters as well.)

Apart from this collaboration, Sakagami also gave a short update on The Idolmaster: Starlit Season, which is the upcoming PlayStation 4 title that will bring together female idols from different production companies, essentially being its own crossover title. While the game is still in development, Sakagami couldn’t share any news for the anniversary due to delays caused by the coronavirus pandemic. In a bit of black humor, Japanese fans on the livestream chat and Twitter began to call this the nefarious work of 567PRO (read as “corona”) and began hoping that the production company will shut down soon.

The Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls Starlight Stage and The Idolmaster: Million Live! Theatre Days are both available on iOS and Android devices. The Idolmaster: Starlit Season will be released for the PlayStation 4 and PC in 2020.
