The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls U149 anime confirmed

Bandai Namco revealed that Cygames Pictures is working on an anime adaptation of The Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls U149 manga series. The manga’s creator, Kyowno, drew a congratulatory illustration featuring Arisu Tachibana and the title’s idol producer. Though Bandai Namco published a trailer for the new anime adaptation on YouTube, it is region-locked to Japan only.

Bandai Namco first revealed the U149 anime adaptation at theĀ Cinderella Girls 10th Anniversary M@GICAL WONDERLAND concert in early April 2022. On the first day, it published the short version of a special animation titled “Eternity Memories.” The company will publish the full version of the latter video in Summer 2022.

The Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls U149 is an ongoing manga title based on theĀ Cinderella Girls sub-series. New chapters appear every Saturday on the Japanese mobile app Cycomi. The first two chapters are available to read on the app’s website.

U149 will be the second anime based on Cinderella Girls. A-1 Pictures produced the first anime adaptation of the mobile game series, which aired in 2015. U149 will also follow in the footsteps of Puchimas! Petit Idolmaster as one of the few manga titles based on the game franchise to receive an anime adaptation. Puchimas received two anime seasons in 2013 and 2014.

The Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls U149 anime will air on Japanese television. Bandai Namco and Cygames will reveal its airing schedule at a later time.
