Summer 2011 in Japan just keeps getting busier and busier, so it’s a good thing that Dark Souls will avoid it, if only just by a couple of weeks. Namco Bandai have the game planned for a September 15th release in Japan.
In Japan, a standalone copy of Dark Souls will retail for 7,800 yen ($96). When the game releases in the U.S. about two weeks later on October 4th, you’ll be able to pick up a Collector’s Edition for a remarkably cheap $59.99 if you pre-order the game.
The Collector’s Edition includes an art book, mini-strategy guidebook, the game’s soundtrack via a digital download, and a making of Dark Souls video in a metal case. While you wait, you can check out the new trailer for the game above.
