The Flame In The Flood Has You Trying To Survive Post-Societal America

Recommended Videos

Development team The Molasses Flood, which is headed by former BioShock art director Scott Sinclair, has released its “rogue-lite river journey” The Flame in the Flood on Steam Early Access.

It has you foraging, crafting, and evading predators while travelling through a forgotten post-societal America. You can travel by foot or by raft as you search for resources, tools, and remedies to diseases and other afflictions, but the most important thing is to keep moving forward to stay ahead of the rains.

The river that you travel down or alongside is procedurally generated each time you play and so are all the items, plants, and beasts that you come across. If you die you’ll have to start the whole journey all over again so you’ll want to be very careful.

You can purchase The Flame in the Flood for $19.99 on Steam Early Access.
