Cross progression between different platforms is becoming more common in video games. Before the release of The First Descendant, players questioned if the looter shooter would have cross progression at launch. With its debut on July 2, 2024, here is everything you need to know about cross progression in The First Descendant.
Does The First Descendant have cross progression?
Cross progression grants users the ability to carry their save game files across multiple platforms. For instance, if you begin playing a game on PlayStation 4 and want to continue on another platform, you won’t have to start over. As The First Descendant is a looter shooter with a leveling system, players do not want to lose their progress if they choose to move to a different platform.
Cross progression is available for The First Descendant. Most cross progression systems require players to link a profile to a third-party account. The First Descendant is no different from other titles in this regard.
How do I enable cross progression in The First Descendant?
You must first open the Options menu to activate cross progression. Once in the Options menu, navigate to the last selectable choice available in Account. The Account menu page has four options to choose from: Link Account, Account Reset, Member Code, and Enter Coupon. Select the Link Account option to begin the process of enabling cross progression.
You will be prompted to link a Nexon account. If you click the Link Nexon Account button, you are sent to a page that lets you choose between an eight digit link code or QR code. Connecting with the eight digit code requires you to visit nexon.com/link. Enter the code given to then sign in with your Nexon Account. If you don’t have a Nexon Account, you can create one from this page by using an email address.
You have successfully linked your Nexon Account to your game progression. Now you will be able to carry your progression across multiple platforms.
The First Descendant is a free-to-play looter shooter available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
