The Crown Tundra Trailer Reminds Us the Pokemon Sword and Shield Expansion’s ‘Coming Soon’

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

A new, incredibly short The Crown Tundra trailer appeared to remind people about the next bit of Pokemon Sword and Shield DLC. The expansion has a Fall 2020 release window, with Nintendo’s product page still promising it will appear by November 30, 2020. Now a Nintendo South Africa Distributor YouTube channel’s “Coming Soon” video reminds people to keep an eye out with 30 seconds of new and old footage.

There’s something important to remember, though. The context for this clip is important. This wasn’t a strategic upload that suggests something is coming soon or a guarantee of an announcement in the immediate future. Rather, it was part of a batch of 20 to 30-second trailers that also included looks at the Isle of Armor expansion, Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, Minecraft Dungeons: Hero Edition, Pikmin 3 Deluxe, and Super Mario 3D All-Stars. It is the only video with “coming soon” in its name, even though three of those other September 14, 2020 uploads aren’t immediately available.

Here’s the brief Nintendo South Africa Distributor The Crown Tundra trailer.

Pokemon Sword and Shield is available for the Nintendo Switch, and The Isle of Armor expansion is immediately available. As The Crown Tundra trailer noted, it is coming soon, as the second expansion has a Fall 2020 release window.
