Food Wars creators Yuto Tsukuda and Shun Saeki started a new series. People can now start reading the new Shonen Jump manga Tenmaku Cinema worldwide. Both Viz Media and Shueisha’s Manga Plus have chapter one online in English for people worldwide.
Tenmaku Cinema follows a young man named Hajime Shinichi. Due to being ill as a child, he’s since developed an obsessive love for movies and is part of the Movie Research Club at school. However, while watching one film, the ghost of screenwriter Takihiko Tenmaku grabbed his right arm to “borrow” it. Throughout the first chapter, we see him trying to control the arm until Hajime finally acknowledges him so his final script can be transcribed and made into a movie. However, there are other trials in the way to making Takihiko’s final film, and the first chapter sets up the ordeals the new duo will need to face.
New manga series show up in Shonen Jump rather frequently. In February 2023, Beat and Motion debuted. Jiangshi X showed up in January 2023 before that.
Tenmaku Cinema‘s first chapter is now available to read worldwide, and the second one will show up on Manga Plus and Viz on April 16, 2023.
