Tales of Arise Skill Tree New Gameplay Combat

Bandai Namco revealed more information regarding the various systems in Tales of Arise, including the skill tree. A broadcast held on May 1, 2021, revealed new information about the skill tree and even provided more combat footage. Additionally, the developers disclosed information about various changes that will be coming to the series, such as the use of an orchestra for creating the background music. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

The mentioned broadcast aired through the Japanese streaming service, NicoNico. The video is currently available to watch, and there is no indication that it will be removed any time soon. However, it is only available in Japanese and does not have the option for subtitles in any other language. The Tales of Arise segment, which features a look at the skill tree system, begins at 40:00.

The developers discussed the system briefly, showing that each character will have a unique skill tree. Players can use acquired SP to unlock various skills. Additionally, viewers were treated to another glimpse of how combat will function in Tales of Arise. This included a somewhat short battle segment, which further demonstrated how the new “Boost Strike” system works.

Tales of Arise will release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC on September 9, 2021 to Japanese audiences. The Western release will arrive on September 10, 2021.
