More information about how combat and gameplay will function in Tales of Arise has been revealed. Bandai Namco provided information regarding how players will be able to engage in battle. This includes details about the “Boost Strike” system that will allow players to perform devastating combos with their party members. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
This new feature lets players chain together powerful attacks. Additionally, players will have access to Chain Artes, Boost Attacks, and the new Boost Strike system. The Boost Strike system forces players to think strategically in various combat situations as it’s only available once certain battle conditions have been met.
Combat and some gameplay aspects were reconstructed to create a more “exhilarating” experience for the player. Action will be more dynamic, and the visuals regarding effects have been enhanced. The official Tales of Arise website has short videos showcasing these effects and how the Boost Strike system will look. More information regarding how players will be able to control party members will be revealed at a later date.
Tales of Arise will release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC on September 9, 2021 to Japanese audiences. The Western release will arrive on September 10, 2021.
