Take A Look At Y2K’s Pre-Alpha Battle Scenes, Including Giant Eye Boss

Recommended Videos

Ackk Studios has shared four videos that show off pre-alpha footage of early in-game scenarios from its 1990s RPG Y2K.

One thing to note is that, while a lot of the turn-based battling is included in this footage, it is far from complete. “Battle backgrounds need to be completed still, and we need more attacking cameras (and attacks), and more unified menus,” Ackk Studios said.

Apparently, all of the programming is in place, and when Ackk return from PlayStation Experience it will take until about Christmas to get the battle mode in a “glorious” state. But, for now, you can get an early peek at how the game is shaping up.

The video above shows up footage from the game’s Pyramid area, the one directly below is the “Magic Carpet Puzzle,” while underneath that we have footage from the “Soul Space.” The very last video at the bottom is of a pre-alpha boss battle.
