King Corobo doesn’t start out with much of a kingdom. His throne is in a run down shack and his subjects are carefree adults that spend their days spinning in circles. Somehow, you’re supposed to lead this rural town towards world domination.
Seeing townsfolk crowd around Corobo and the watercolor graphics also gives Little King’s Story a warm and charming feel similar. But why design a game where the player is a king? During the demo I asked Yoshiro Kimura, Producer of Little King’s Story.
Strange, but true! The original concept for Little King's Story had a vegetable kingdom. In an interview Yoshiro Kimura, Director of Little King's Story, explains, "I remember getting excited and saying, 'Lets make a game to rival Animal March! But lets make it about a castle made of vegetables!'"
