Custom Robo director Kouji Kenjou has been working on a new game titled Synaptic Drive, where you customize equipment and fight opponents in arena-style 1-on-1 bouts. The game was given a full reveal during an Indie World presentation by Nintendo last year.

Now, it appears Synaptic Drive is close to completion as Kenjou has shared via Twitter that a release date will be announced in the near future. The game will allow one to play as a number of different characters, with over 100 possible weapons to customize your build with. More information on its characters, weapons, and systems can be found on its English website.
Synaptic Drive will allow for cross-play between Nintendo Switch and PC (via Steam) once it is released this Spring. The game was first revealed by Kenjou in 2018 while it was still in the prototyping stage. It was eventually picked up by publisher Yunuo Games and went into full production later that year.
