The official website details the basic premise of the game. Kirito learns of Cross Edge, a new game that was reportedly created by a middle school genius. He then hears of a mysterious hooded figure in the game that attacks people and causes players to lose part of their memories. After remembering Laughing Coffin, Kirito and his friends decide to start playing Cross Edge to investigate.

The official website also offers information in various languages, including English, Mandarin Chinese, Korean, and French. There are no gameplay details as of yet. However, pre-registration for the game is available via following the game’s account on social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.

Furthermore, there are also pre-registration milestone rewards, though it’s uncertain what utility each item will serve. More information about the video game itself will appear during a live stream on April 2, 2022.
