Bandai Namco released a new story trailer for Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream and revealed that the console release date is set for October 3, 2024, and it will appear on October 4, 2024 on Steam for PCs. The trailer showcases a variety of characters in and out of combat, with an emphasis on the original characters created for the game.
Additionally, plenty of returning characters were featured in the trailer. These include deuteragonist Asuna, Eugeo, Alice, Leafa, and ALfheim Online villain Oberon. Characters like LLENN and Fukaziroh from SAO Alternative: Gun Gale Online also appeared, and they were revealed to appear in the game back in March 2024.

In addition, Bandai Namco announced that a collaboration with the now defunct mobile game Sword Art Online Unleash Blading will appear in SAO: Fractured Daydream in the form of a Demon Lord costume set. The costume will be available for Kirito, as well as for other unspecified characters.
SAO: Fractured Daydream was originally announced during the February 2024 Nintendo Direct, and it is an online co-op action RPG that features raid team battles with up to 20 simultaneous players.
The Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream release date is October 4, 2024, and the game will come out for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam. The game will also feature cross-platform compatibility.
