Today, Bandai Namco showed off gameplay of Asuna in Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris, during the Dengeki Bunko Aki no Namahousai Festival livestream.
As mentioned previously, while the first half of the story in Aliziation Lycoris wwill be the same as the anime, the second half will diverge into the ‘Lycoris’ original storyline. Asuna will appear with a different look and fights with swift strikes using her sword.

Additionally, the fan design contest winners for two costumes each for Kirito and Alice were revealed:
Winner 1: Alice (Japan Winner)
Winner 2: Alice (North America Winner)
Winner 3: Kirito (Asia [non Japan] Winner)
Winner 4: Kirito (Rest of the World)
The costumes will be added in to the game post-launch.
