Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime recently sat down with the New York Times for an interview post-release of the Switch, and reporter Nick Wingfield has shared some information from the interview ahead of time.

First off, the highly-anticipated Switch’s first two days’ sales for the Americas were the best for any system in Nintendo’s history. Wii was the next closest on that list, but the Switch’s feat was impressive considering it launched during a non-holiday season, as opposed to the Wii which originally released on November 19th, 2006.

In addition, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild achieved the title of Nintendo’s best-selling standalone title in the company’s history, beating out Super Mario for the Nintendo 64.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is available for the Wii U and the Nintendo Switch.
