Super Smash Bros. Director Gives Example Of Intricate Character Match-ups

The new Super Smash Bros. games will take a large number of factors into account during face-offs between different characters. Series director Masahiro Sakurai provided one such example today, via Miiverse.

Alongside the above screenshot, Sakurai posted on Miiverse: “Both Link and Pit use bows, but when they fire simultaneously, their arrows meet and cancel out closer to Pit. Besides attack power and projectile speed, there are many elements that affect tactics, such as accuracy, vulnerability after attacking, and even seemingly unrelated features like a character’s physical abilities.”

Super Smash Bros. is in development for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
