Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS will be released in Summer 2014, director Masahiro Sakurai revealed during an ongoing Nintendo Direct presentation this afternoon.

 

The 3DS version of the game will run at 60 frames-per-second with stereoscopic 3D turned on. Certain Assist Trophies will run at 30fps, but all of the game’s main fighters will run at 60fps.

 

Meanwhile, the Wii U version is planned for release Winter 2014.
