How to enter Marrymore Church Door in Mario RPG
After escaping Booster Tower in Super Mario RPG, you will head to Marrymore to crash Princess Peach’s wedding. However, entering Marrymore Church is easier said than done, as you need to solve a door puzzle before entering the cathedral.
As soon as you arrive in Marrymore, you will notice that the cathedral is locked. To enter Marrymore Church in Mario RPG, walk to the right side of the building and use the back door. The kitchen entrance is hard to spot at first as it’s hidden. You can see the exact location of the door in the image below:
After entering the side entrance, you will find yourself in the kitchen. Speak to the two cooks making the wedding cake to trigger a quick cutscene. You can now access the Marrymore Church door by taking the stairs next to the fireplace oven.
As soon as you enter the room with the Marrymore Church door, Booster’s minions will automatically lock the room. This will then trigger the NPC in the room to continuously run and slam into the door, trying to get out. However, no matter what you do – Mario cannot enter the door. So, how do you get past the room?
To get through the Marrymore Church door in Mario RPG, you need to stand next to Booster’s minion and run into the locked door at the exact same time. The easiest way to do this is to have Mario stand on the square tile floor directly to the enemy’s right and wait for him to reset his running animation. Once he starts over, have Mario sprint into the door alongside him.
If you time it correctly, Mario and the NPC will burst through the Marrymore Church door. However, the plumber must hit the church door simultaneously, or you will just bounce off the wall. It may take you a few tries to time it. You will find yourself in the next room with a safe spot if done correctly.
And that’s it! Although the next room will be locked again, Bowser will step in and help you break down the next door. You will now have access to Marrymore Church so that you can put a stop to Booster’s sham wedding with Princess Peach.
