The 35th anniversary for the Super Mario Bros franchise is coming up very soon, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons is getting in on the action. On February 25, 2021, ACNH will receive a free update that includes Super Mario-themed items.
Players can decorate their islands will all kinds of Super Mario gear, from costumes to island decorations. You can add bricks, the iconic Question Blocks, flags, and mushrooms as furniture in your home and/or decoration around the island. Even the famous pipes will be available, which you can place across your island for easy transportation! You can essentially build your own Super Mario levels without needing to play them. Think of it as Super Mario Maker but without sharing the games for anyone to play.
On March 1, 2021, all of the 35th anniversary Super Mario Bros clothes and items will be available from the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nook Shopping app.
Hope you have some areas open on your island for Super Mario Bros shenanigans. Or maybe it’s time to entirely redo your island with a new theme. Let’s face it, your current island is probably stale. Get ready to spice it up, Mushroom Kingdom style starting on February 25, 2021.
