Super Mario 3D All Stars Will Arrive on September 18, 2020 (Update)

Nintendo revealed Super Mario 3D All Stars will be heading to the Nintendo Switch on September 18, 2020. It will be available digitally and in a limited run physical edition. It was a part of the Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary Direct. This collection of three games will give people remasters of Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy.

All three games will have higher resolutions than before and be presented in 16:9 screen ratio. You can use two Joy-Cons to play each one.

There will also be a Music Player Mode. This will have all three games’ soundtracks.

Update: The official product page for the game is now live. It turns out people will need detached Joy-Cons to play one game in the collection. This means if someone has a Nintendo Switch Lite, they will have to buy Joy-Cons to use with it to play Super Mario Galaxy in co-star mode.

Super Mario 3D All Stars will come to the Nintendo Switch on September 18, 2020. Copies will be available until around March 31, 2021. In addition, people who want to play the original Super Mario All Stars now can on the Nintendo Switch. As part of the event and announcements, the game was added to the Nintendo Switch Online SNES application’s collection.
