Sunrise has announced that it will move to a new office located at Fujisawa Building in Ogikubo, Tokyo, Japan. The company will name the new office White Base after the iconic warship headed by Bright Noa in Mobile Suit Gundam. [Thanks, Game Watch!]
The new White Base office will host multiple divisions and anime studios related to Sunrise and Bandai Namco. Before settling on this consolidated office, the studios were scattered across over 20 locations. The companies hope that the office becomes a place where like-minded individuals from all the studios can gather.
The new meeting room will be the most defining feature of the White Base office. Sunrise has decorated its walls with two well-known characters from the company’s flagship franchises. They are Char Aznable from Mobile Suit Gundam and Honoka Kousaka from Love Live!
Sunrise Music and Sunrise’s head offices will be the first ones to occupy the new White Base office on October 25, 2021. Sunrise will move its production studios into the office gradually from November 2021 to March 2022. Bandai Namco Pictures will also join in January 2022. And finally, Sunrise Beyond — the studio currently working on AMAIM Warrior at the Borderline — will complete the office’s roster in June 2022.
