Sundae Funday! I don’t have anything particularly interesting to say this week, except that I spent a fair part of my weekend reading and watching up on Vocaloids, both for fun and research. A scary thought, considering I knew next to nothing about Vocaloids a few months ago, but certain people on the site have managed to get me to take an interest just long enough for the fascination to take over.

 

And with that…on to three stories you may have missed (oops!) or ignored (booo!) this past week:

 

Taito’s Groove Coaster Is An Audio-Visual Rollercoaster

Groove Coaster is a Taito iOS game, designed by the creator of Space Invaders: Infinity Gene. It’s also on sale for a dollar until the end of next week.

 

CyberConnect2 Is Creating Soulcalibur V’s Story

Wow, CyberConnect2 sure do get around. Amongst other things, they’re creating storyboards for Soulcalibur V.  I was very surprised when Spencer told me about this before posting it to the site. It’s nice to see them take a break from .hack and work on a wider range of games.

 

I Made An Off-Roader And A Glider With Mario Kart’s Kart Customization System

Mario Kart 7 is the first game to have a number on it. It’s also the first with a full kart customization feature, which we got to experiment with at Comic-Con.
