I have to admit, this is one of my favourite interviews on the site to date. Visual novels are my favourite genre of game, and actually being able to talk with one of the most interesting visual novel publishers in Japan at the moment felt great.
Perhaps the biggest compliment I could give 5pb’s Shikura is that he’s very aware of the challenges visual novels face in today’s extremely complex game market, and that, despite this, he’s still as optimistic as one could possibly be about the future of the genre. 5pb are a company with a plan, and frankly, that’s very reassuring.
