Summon Your Friends’ Characters As AI Partners In Phantasy Star Online 2

Recommended Videos

Phantasy Star Online 2 will carry over one of Phantasy Star Portable 2: Infinity’s features—the Friend Partner System. Producer, Satoshi Sakai, mentioned this as part of a larger update about the upcoming closed beta on the game’s blog this week.

In Phantasy Star Online 2, the Friend Partner System will let you summon a friend’s character as an AI-controlled party member. These AI partners will speak using the customized auto-words set by your friend.

The game also lets you have teams (or guilds, if you prefer) of up to 100 players. There’s a team chat option that lets you chat with your team members. Sakai says that, while there aren’t any options to raise your team as a whole, such a feature might be considered in the future.
