YouTuber Kenta “Animist” Shinohara uploaded a new stop motion video starring Chun Li from Street Fighter. Animist uses his poseable figures, camera talents, and editing skills to bring lifeless objects to life. Additionally, he uploaded a making-of video showcasing the behind-the-scenes production.
In addition to rigs and figures, Animist also uses post-processing effects to add impact to the blows. Particularly, Chun Li’s classic special moves from the Street Fighter series like Spinning Bird Kick and Kikosho get some added flair. The creator’s meticulous attention to detail in the final cut is impressive. Not only does he faithfully reproduce poses straight from the games, but he also captures little details like the camera zooming out to keep fighters in frame when they jump. It covers everything from unboxing the Street Fighter Chun Li figure to capturing footage to editing and rendering the final cut.
