Udon announced its Free Comic Book Day 2021 Street Fighter comic issue will include a Rival Schools crossover with Akira Kazama. The free issue, which will be out on August 14, 2021, will look at what happens when Akira meets up with some of the Street Fighter heroines who are around her age. It will be written by Matt Moylan and illustrated by Genzoman.

When revealing the issue, Udon also mentioned its six stars. In addition to Akira, Elena, Ibuki, Karin, Makoto, and Sakura will have starring roles. It also appears the story might have some sort of high school setting.

Here’s the cover for the Street Fighter: Back to School Special. Hanzo Steinbach drew it.

This comes ahead of Akira’s official Street Fighter V debut. Back in August 2020, Capcom confirmed she would be one of the Season Pass 5 DLC characters. Just like in the comic, she’ll have her biker outfit on, though her concept art didn’t show her helmet.

Free Comic Book Day will be held on August 14, 2021. The official website is open. In addition to the Street Fighter free comic with an Akira Kazama appearance, people will also be able to get free Rent-a-(Really Shy!)-Girlfriend, Solo Leveling, Sonic the Hedgehog 30th Anniversary, and ZOM 100: Bucket List of the Dead / Demon Slayer sample issues.
