To prepare for its upcoming release, Taito will hold simultaneous location tests in Tokyo, Sendai, Hiroshima, and Fukuoka on November 11-12, 2023. It will also place playable demos at the Amusement Expo in Tokyo Big Sight on November 25, 2023.

The test build will feature the latest game balance from the existing console and PC releases of Street Fighter 6. It will also include Rashid and AKI, the first two DLC characters who are already available. However, it will only let players choose the characters’ default costumes and colors.

In the location test build, players will wait in the Training Mode for offline and online matchmaking. It will feature two play limit options. Normal Mode will let players fight until five consecutive wins, but a single loss will instantly kick them out. Safety Mode will allow up to two losses, but it will end the player’s session after three consecutive wins.

Taito also confirmed that Street Fighter 6: Type Arcade will support some of the external controllers. However, it also advised that the controllers may bring in some input lag. In addition, controllers that only support Direct Input will not be compatible with the arcade cabinet.

Street Fighter 6 is available on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, and PC. Street Fighter 6: Type Arcade will appear in Japanese arcades in 2023.
