The event roughly translates to “Street Fighter 6 ~Meeting Stronger Opponents~,” and is part of the Capcom Trip Tokai collaboration tourism project with JR Central (or JR Tokai in Japanese.) As part of the event, the Battle Hub area from Street Fighter 6 will be recreated at the Laguna Ten Bosch as the Real Battle Hub interactive attraction, which features the Akuma trial as its main focus.

Pre-order tickets for the Real Battle Hub are now available from the Laguna Ten Bosch official website, and the price of general entrance tickets for adults range between 2,300 yen (~$15.17) and 2,700 yen (~$17.81.) Additionally, original goods featuring Akuma’s new design will also be sold at the venue, like acrylic stands, collaboration drink, and holographic stickers.

Capcom revealed the four DLC characters for the Year 1 Season Pass on April 2023, and Akuma is the last remaining one to release. A recent teaser trailer for Akuma appeared in March 2024, showing the character’s model and his unique stage.

Street Fighter 6 is immediately available for the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam. Akuma is scheduled to release as a DLC character in Spring 2024.
